Enough is Enough, It Is Time For A Change!!!

Dear Mike Brown, you are the most ridiculous owner out of all 32 NFL owners! We were extremely lucky to have made the playoffs this year, and I can appreciate that when the season looked bleak we roared loud and proud when all the experts pegged us as done before the first whistle. However, the Bengals could have, and should have beaten the Houston Texans yesterday. It was a very good, and close first half, we won the coin toss and were getting the ball back in the second half, and we went into halftime down by a touchdown. Then a completely new Cincinnati Bengals took the field in the second half. Well actually it wasn't a new team it was our old team from the past twenty some odd years since our last win in the playoffs. I get it, we weren't even supposed to be there and we were, but that just is not good enough, we only lost to this team by one point the last time we played them, and what occurred in that second half was just uncalled for. More importantly Marvin Lewis' second challenge in the first half was pure stupidity!! After one look at the replay he should have known not to throw that flag, everything went down hill from that moment, that
was when the momentum shifted to the Texans. However, there was plenty of
game left to get things back on track and it never happened, we did not score another point and rookie sensation Andy Dalton threw two more interceptions.

So, now it is yet another off season. Last season we saw Carson Palmer quit after Marvin Lewis was given another opportunity. I firmly believe had Marvin Lewis been fired as he should have been, Carson Palmer would still be in a Bengals jersey and not that horrible Raiders jersey. I am glad we have Dalton and again you managed to luck into that situation all together. I am terrified that in the coming weeks the WRONG coach is going to be leaving our team. Mike Zimmer our awesome Defensive Coordinator is rumored to be getting head coaching offers from both NFL teams and NCAA teams, plus after the awesome job our new Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden has done with rookie sensations Andy Dalton and A.J. Green he is bound to get some looks from other NFL teams and NCAA teams as well. When is enough, enough? Marvin Lewis has been the Head Coach for nine years, and in that nine years we have made the playoffs three times, all resulting in one and done fashion. He does NOT deserve a tenth year as our head coach, and if he is brought back and we lose either Gruden or Zimmer because of it, it will be a travesty.

I love this team, ever since I was a kid and saw Boomer Esiason throw a touchdown pass to Carl Pickens I was hooked. I have held my head high all these years, roaring WHO DEY in anybody's face that dared to talk negative about our team. I have to admit it is getting harder and harder for me to keep doing this. Marvin Lewis should have been fired three seasons ago, but most certainly after last season. This is just as much your fault as it is Marvin Lewis'!! Go hire Jeff Fisher or Bill Cowher and give them full reign, let them be the GM as well. Your business model is broken and the fans are going to riot soon. Look at the attendance season, we are tired of the same ol' same ol'. The biggest question to you and your family is, why aren't you tired of the same ol' same ol'? Wake up man, this is the NFL not some bakery in down town Cincinnati!! The NFL is NO place for a Mom and Pop organization!! I am glad you learned how to open your wallet but if we are to ever get back to the Super Bowl we are going to need you to look at other owners and see how they run shop. Give more power to your head coach, and spend more money for better players, especially the offensive line!!

I have often said WHO DEY 4 LIFE!! or Bengals Fan Forever, but now I do not know if I can honestly say that those are true statements. I am not saying I'm quitting on the team if Marvin Lewis does come back for a ridiculous tenth season, however if we fail to make the playoffs, or make the playoffs but lose in the first round again and he is not fired, or we lose either Gruden or Zimmer because of it! Then yeah I am done! The next question for me is am I done for good or am I just done until Marvin Lewis is finally fired?? Honestly, that answer really depends on how long it takes for Marvin Lewis to be fired because once I finally latch onto another team I will NEVER be able to come back. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself, "Is keeping Marvin Lewis for a tenth season worth losing Jay Gruden or Mike Zimmer or even worse both of them!?" In my honest opinion the answer is No, Hell No, it is not worth losing those two coaches for the mediocrity that is Marvin Lewis.
